Chuck E Cheese

Last Wednesday we took the Tharp kids for an inagural visit to the local Chuck E Cheese. I knew it was Lukas and Emmy's first trip but I had no idea until the day before that it was also Kevin's first Chuck E Cheese experience! AMAZING! When I was a kid I remember going to Chuck E Cheese for birthday parties and all kinds of of noisy, token-fed fun. I was relieved to find that the pizza is still bad, the games are still obnoxiously loud, and thechance that you're going to get plowed over by a 5 year old is still about 85%. Lukas loved the game playing and jumped right in. It took no time for him to learn the drill...1. Find noisiest, brightest, game in vicinity...2. Say "I need more money" and hold out hand....3. Insert token, play game for 5 seconds until distracted by flashing lights and crashing noises at game next to the one he's playing...4. Rip out tickets...5. Repeat. Emma however wasn't impressed. She sat in one slightly rocking car for 30 seconds before she started crying and that was all she wrote. Maybe in a couple more years Emmy.

Ahhhaaa! I knew Kevin would like it.
