Meeting the JCN Family

On February 2nd (the day before turning 2 weeks old) Maggie and I ventured over to church so her dad could show her off. He's awful proud of her. You get a good view of her growing double chin in this picture. haha! You'll notice she's wearing an adorable sweater dress. Thanks Scott and Morgan! It only added to the cuteness. 


Anyone who knows Kevin will know his love for all things sweater vest-ish. This is as close as we're coming...Promise Maggie! 

Meeting Aunt Jacie and Uncle Lee

Last weekend my parents and my sisters Kate and Jacie and brother Lee came to visit Maggie. Kate and Mom had already been here the week before but Maggie is addictive. You just can't get enough of her. I think its the fat cheeks, double chin, terrible gas, and ridiculous facial expressions she makes when waking up. Just makes her irresistible.  When we're not ready to cry from sheer sleep deprivation (I now understand why it is considered a method of torture) we are cracking up with Miss Maggie's antics. Who knew parenthood was so hilarious? Anyway, here are some photos of the meeting between aunt/uncle and cutest niece ever....

Jacie held her for about 2 min. and then said, "She's breaking my arms!" Sorry Maggie....that may have been your first fat joke. 

 

Uncle Lee though Maggie was pretty cool too and immediately gave her the nickname "Mag"

Although she's currently hanging out and sleeping in her bassinet in our room, Maggie has her own digs all ready for her when she's big enough to venture across the hall. We've got a few more things to hang up but I doubt Maggie will notice for a while.

Just in case you don't have a Valentine we thought we'd share ours with you.  Since I don't know how to rotate this picture and Maggie is sleeping right now, you're just going to have to tilt your head sideways. What can I say? - having a Valentine is hard work.

She Arrived! .... Fashionably Late, Of Course.

Miss Maggie Elizabeth Knight is here! She made her debut on February 6th at 4:09pm EST, weighing in at 7 lbs. 3 oz. and was 20 inches long. Even though she made us wait an extra week and 2 days we think she's a keeper! Already she seems to be growing and changing too quickly! I have a feeling its going to go too fast. And I am nothing if not a problem solver. 


So, the best way we know to combat that as parents is to be obnoxious in our constant picture and video taking. Sorry Maggie. We're not going to miss it! Daddy bought an iphone so he can follow you everywhere you go and document your life. 


Get used to it kiddo.
